Americana is an amalgam of American music formed by the confluence of the shared and varied
traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States, specifically those sounds that are
merged from folk, country, blues, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, gospel, and other external
influences, and Detroit is a place where all these influences converge and reflect back out into
the world.
I’m Robert Louis; a singer/songwriter and a lover of music. My goal for this show is to bring forth
music you may not have had a chance to listen to, and artists you may not have heard of. I sit
down with some these musicians for little chat and live music.
Rock and Roll is not dead! Country is not dead! The blues are not dead – it’s all alive and well and
living on the outskirts of mainstream media, as it should be.
